The graphical planning board of the APS system enables you to plan in-house production fluidly and with no downtimes. And not only with regard to machine availability, but also taking all other resources into consideration, such as personnel, tools, raw materials, orders, and the shift schedule from your ERP system.

Current orders are already linked to the current manufacturing status, quantities, and run-time forecast during production planning. The planning board thus maps this interaction in real time and also provides you with information about the utilization of your personnel, raw materials, and orders, as well as the shift schedule. An analysis of the planned and actual values of completed orders can also be viewed in the production planning tool. In turn, these results provide information about the current manufacturing performance.

Manual planning

Even in automated production planning, processes can still be planned manually by the production planner if necessary. Project planning

Project planning is a standard function of production planning. It enables the planning of upstream areas such as design, development, and prototyping. Manual documentation of the different planning stages is one of the many helpful functions that can be used in projects.
