Quality assurance during the manufacturing process

The collection of quality-related data has become increasingly important in recent years. More and more customers require proper documentation of the quality assurance measures carried out. Many of these checks and tests are already performed and documented during the ongoing manufacturing process. When used in combination with L-mobile production data collection, for example, L-mobile quality data collection enables you to capture this data digitally at the point of origin.
If quality data is not collected during the manufacturing process, but rather in a separate process step, then this can be performed subsequently by the QA department.

Inspection plans can be created and edited via the L-mobile input interface. It is possible to specify at what points in the process the checks are to be performed. For each checkpoint, it is also possible to specify the interval at which the check is to be performed (e.g. for each order, each batch, each part, etc.). Once the checkpoints and intervals have been determined, the actual inspection plan is created in the form of individual tasks. The tasks recorded here may require different actions. For example, recording a meter value, responding to a Yes/No prompt, or even simply displaying information or entire documents. In addition, it is possible to specify whether each check is mandatory or optional. Finally, you can specify which items are covered by the created inspection plan.

Transfer of quality data to higher-level systems

On the one hand, the data obtained by means of L-mobile quality data collection can be stored directly in an L-mobile database and assigned to an order. It is thus possible to provide a customer with the required quality documentation for their order in digital or printed form. On the other hand, with L-mobile, it is always possible to transfer the collected data internally to a higher-level system in order to assess the quality of the finished parts. In this case, the higher-level system could be an ERP system or even another database system that is used to archive the documentation that is created.
So with L-mobile quality data collection, your data will automatically be available exactly where you need it, and without involving manual and error-prone data transfer.

Integration of machine-recorded data

In some process steps, certain measured values may be recorded by machines. If these machines have a machine control system, the recorded values can be connected to the quality data collection module via L-mobile machine data collection and the L-mobile SCADA server. As a result, fields can be filled automatically without requiring manual entry and production personnel can concentrate on their actual work. Moreover, this improves process reliability, as errors associated with manual entry are eliminated.
