The “Batch Storage” extension module in L-mobile warehouse ready for SAP Business One allows you to post individual items from different storage bins to a shared target storage bin—quickly, easily, and directly at the storage bin.

The respective items and source storage bins are recorded via barcode scan using mobile devices. Batch stock transfer is then triggered by scanning the target storage bin—posting takes place automatically in the background and is reported back to SAP Business One in real time.

The system automatically recognizes whether it is a stock transfer from storage bin to storage bin or between different storage locations—and processes the transaction accordingly.

As with simple stock transfer, serial and batch numbers can also be processed. The module is ideal for efficiently bundling stock transfer processes in day-to-day operations—with full transparency and minimal effort.

Standard solution for stock transfers in the ERP system

There is no dedicated batch stock transfer functionality in the SAP Business One standard solution. Instead, all stock transfers must be recorded individually via the ERP system. Warehouse personnel usually note down the required information such as the item number, source storage bin, and target storage bin on paper or accompanying documents during the physical stock transfer process.

Each individual stock transfer is then posted separately at the ERP work station (PC), e.g., using the “Inventory Transfer” function in SAP Business One. As there is no mobile solution or real-time feedback, there is a considerable amount of extra effort involved—both in terms of time and personnel. Media discontinuities and duplicate entries also increase the risk of errors.
