You have produced goods and now want to return them to the warehouse for putaway. In many companies, this process is still done on the fly and requires various notes on paper. By contrast, L-mobile WMS allows you to post warehouse receipts from production digitally and error-free using mobile devices. With real-time connection to your ERP system, subsequent manual entry is a thing of the past.

For mobile posting of the movement of goods from production to the warehouse, open the “Production Receipt” module in the WMS app. You can now either display all production orders released in the ERP system or filter by a specific order number.

Once you have selected the appropriate production order, all the necessary details about the items it contains are displayed. Here, you can also jump to the “Stock Info” module and see more about the item and its current storage bins. The “Production Receipt” module also provides information about open quantities and the target quantity. Both complete and partial receipt postings are possible. A target storage bin is suggested as soon as you enter the number of goods to be posted. You can either select this bin or search for other suitable storage bins using the free location search feature. Clicking “Book” posts the produced items to the ERP system—quickly, easily, and transparently.

You are probably familiar with this situation: Goods are just being finished, but customers are already waiting for them to be shipped. You now need to act quickly and avoid unnecessary putaway. The “Pick2Hub” extension module of the warehouse management software therefore alerts you to any open sales orders when you post goods to production.

The “Pick2Hub” button takes to you the corresponding orders, where you can post the produced items directly. This allows you, for example, to put the goods in a shipping storage location and save yourself trips to the warehouse. At the same time, you always have transparency regarding the exact location of the produced items.

Fast putaway of sub-stock with the split function

The “Split” function allows you to split the posting of an item to be stored into multiple stock records. For example, if an item contains multiple batches or packing units, you can record them in a single posting without having to recalculate. When you select the “Split” button, the open total quantity is displayed. If you want to record multiple batches, you can quickly and easily create a batch-based inventory of sub-stock by scanning batches. The sub-stock quantity can either be added manually or calculated automatically. The “Split” function is available for posting production receipts and is also available in Goods Receipt.
