Various useful functions are available to make it even easier for you to work with the L-mobile WMS warehouse management software. You can add these functions as required in the form of extension modules. They include, for example, processing GS1 and VDA barcodes, connecting label software, or document display on your mobile device.

You can thus flexibly extend your warehouse management system with suitable functions and also optimally handle individual processes with the solution.

Support for special barcodes, label software, and customer-specific labeling

Processing GS1 and VDA barcodes
The “GS1 Barcode” and “VDA Barcode” extension modules make it possible to process codes in L-mobile WMS. When scanned, the information contained in the barcode (e.g., item number or batch) is broken down into the correct input fields in the mobile solution. If the barcode contains information that is not relevant to the current application, this information is not processed.
Connection of label software
If you would like to use specific software to create and design your labels and documents with L-mobile WMS, you can connect it using the “Print Service” extension module. This allows you to conveniently initiate label printing of your created templates from a handheld scanner, for example in goods receipt. The following print services are supported: BarTender, Easy Label, and ROPE (Robust Object Print Engine) from L-mobile.
Creation of customer-specific labels
On request, we can assist you with the creation and design of customer-specific labels, which can then be printed using the mobile solution.

Digital document display on mobile devices

The “Document Display” extension module allows you to integrate images and PDF documents into your mobile WMS solution so that they can be displayed during specific processes. For example, you can take photos in goods receipt, which are then stored under a file path. It is also possible to store an item description, which can be displayed on your mobile device via the stock information.

Document display is a simple way of managing documents, where a path for the documents and images can be defined. A variety of properties can be linked to the images (JPG, PNG, etc.) and documents (PDF), such as items, operations/activities, manufacturing orders, sales orders, and more. Document display is also available in the administration.

Hardware connection via the Device Broker
The “Device Broker” extension module is a background service that allows you to connect various hardware components to L-mobile WMS. For example, the Device Broker can provide a connection to Pick by Light, electronic labels (E-Labels), scales with network connection, RFID gates, or RFID readers.
Scale and quantity components
The “Scale and Quantity Components” extension module provides the weighing results from connected scales for further processing within the L-mobile WMS. The total quantity is automatically calculated using a reference weight and the current weighing result and entered in the quantity field of L-mobile. The reference weight is read from the item master data of the ERP system if maintained there. If no weight is stored, it can be determined via the scale component. This function requires a Device Broker license.
