By scanning items and storage bins, you not only avoid incorrect postings and picking the wrong items, but also speed up your processes. Postings made via the scanner are transferred to your ERP system in real time—for paperless picking without printed lists and subsequent manual entry.

Turn on the scanner, select the order, and start picking

To start picking for a sales order, open the “Sales Order Pick” module in L-mobile WMS. All released sales orders from the ERP system are shown here. After selecting the order, you will see a clear pick order of the items that need to be picked listed in a route-optimized sequence.

In the next step of order picking, the items and storage bin are scanned. If an incorrect item is picked, a warning is displayed immediately. This ensures that the correct goods are always picked from the correct storage bin. The quantity to be picked can be pre-filled in advance if desired, otherwise entered at this point. By clicking “Book”, the goods are picked, and all items in the sales order are processed step by step.

The information regarding the quantities picked, picking storage bins, serial numbers and batch numbers is transferred directly to the ERP system when the posting is made via the scanner. A variety of different warehouse strategies are also supported, such as FIFO, FEFO, and even ascending and descending sorting.
