Perpetual or “spontaneous” inventory for Microsoft Dynamics NAV can be activated in the following modules:
Using the perpetual inventory setting within the WMS for Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, it can be defined whether perpetual inventory for Navision should be selected automatically when a lower stock limit is reached, or whether the function is available in mobile data collection for Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central for all stock entries if the storage bin has not yet been counted in the current fiscal year.
NAV or Business Central perpetual inventory is triggered for all storage bins that are either empty or contain a maximum of sub-stock. The WMS for MS Dynamics NAV and Business Central treats each stock count as an inventory count. As a result, for the annual inventory generated in Navision, counts only need to be undertaken for stocks that were last counted more than one year ago.
