The perpetual inventory settings in the WMS for Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)/Business Central can be used to define whether perpetual inventory for Navision should be selected automatically when a lower stock limit is reached, or whether the function should be available in the mobile data collection solution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central for all stock entries if the storage bin has not yet been counted in the current fiscal year.
The “Permanent Inventory” function for Dynamics NAV and Business Central is triggered for all storage bins that are either empty or contain at most one item of sub-stock. The WMS for MS Dynamics NAV and Business Central treats each stock count as an inventory count. This means that for the annual inventory generated from Navision or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, it is only necessary to count any stock that was last counted more than one year ago.
