User Administration with L-mobile warehouse ready for MS Dynamics
Login
By logging into the warehouse management software for Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, all purchased functions and modules can be used immediately mobile and on the go. The login is at user level and is approved by the administrator for individual users. Enter the user name and password to log in to the WMS for Navision and Business Central. After logging in correctly to mobile warehouse management for MS Dynamics NAV and Business Central, the user accesses the application main menu and can begin work by selecting the respective functions.
To log in even more quickly, we recommend storing the respective ID number of the employee as the user name and password. This is how the mobile data collection solution for NAV and Business Central makes it possible to scan the ID number and thus login “without manual input.”
Admin/Roles
In the WMS Admin/Roles setting for NAV and Business Central, roles or authorizations are pre-configured, and can then be assigned to one or more users. As a result, each user of mobile data collection for NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is only shown the functions that are relevant to their field.
This enables clear, simple operation of the mobile data collection solution because, for example, temporary workers only have the Inventory function activated and do not have to spend a long time searching in the application for the right module, and instead can start working immediately.
Admin/Settings
The individual modules can be pre-configured in the “Settings” menu. This defines how the individual functions of the WMS for NAV and Business Central are to be applied by the user. Configuration options that are possible here include:
- Number of decimal places
- Visibility of individual fields and functions
- Option of implementing partial booking
- Selection of the standard inventory record sheet
- Mandatory entry of a target storage bin for goods receipt
All configurations listed here affect the way the warehouse management software for Navision and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central works. In the individual modules, we will show you where configuration has an influence on functionality and how to adjust the settings for the ideal application of our mobile data collection solution.
Admin/Sequence
The sequence allows you to structure your modules. This means that you can determine for yourself which modules should be shown at the top of the display and determine the prioritization of the modules. The sequence of the displayed modules can be individually determined for each user of the warehouse management software in MS Dynamics NAV and Business Central. For example, an employee who works predominantly in goods receipt will see the function required for this displayed first in the overview.
User Administration in Microsoft Dynamics NAV & Business Central
User administration, or the creation of users and the assignment of specific roles within Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central, is extremely cumbersome and time-consuming. For this reason, when working in MS Dynamics the creation of roles is often avoided, although they are very helpful when it comes to everyday tasks once they have actually been set up.
Mobile warehouse management for NAV and Business Central therefore offers independent user/rights and user administration that is completely detached from MS Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. With just a few clicks, this allows you to create new roles or users directly in the mobile data collection for Navision and Business Central as well as to manage the individual functions of Microsoft Dynamics warehouse management software entirely according to your needs.
