Murtfeldt Kunststoffe GmbH und Co. KG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of slide profiles, chain and belt guides, chain tensioners, and custom machine parts made from abrasion-resistant glide-enabling plastics. Due to the company’s focus on production and the high demands it places on its technology, Murtfeldt is always keen to optimize its internal processes and keep pace with the latest technology. In its search for a system that could map the processes in the various areas of the company on a mobile basis without media discontinuities and could be quickly and easily integrated with the existing ERP system, the company became aware of the mobile solutions from L-mobile and has been using our mobile applications for many years now.
The solution with L-mobile production
Production control can be supported by the mobile solution L-mobile production. In addition, the mobile solution provides up-to-date feedback data from machine controls/worker notifications to the existing ERP system. The current manufacturing status and production effectiveness can be called up at any time. This results in fewer errors, more productive and leaner processes, and greater transparency. Murtfeldt Kunststoffe has been using the L-mobile warehouse application for years now and plans to roll out the mobile solutions to other areas of the company in due course. The plastics specialist is also working together with L-mobile on concepts for L-mobile industry 4.0. This product secured L-mobile first place in the “IT & Software Solutions for Industry” category at the 2015 Industry Awards.
The project with L-mobile
By using L-mobile production, Murtfeldt Kunststoffe can track every operation within its production processes on a mobile basis and has all the important information to hand at all times. Thanks to years of collaboration, it is very easy for employees to familiarize themselves with the new solution, and the time savings achieved by using L-mobile in production are clearly evident. Murtfeldt Kunststoffe was particularly impressed by how quickly the project idea progressed from the initial concept to implementation.
